Resources

On Campus

The Writing Resources Center is a free on-campus resources that will meet you where you are at in the writing process. They are, however, not an editing center. WRC tutors are there to help you develop as a writer, not just to develop a peice of writing.

Why might you go?

  • Do you need help better understanding what the expectations are of an assignment?

  • Do you need someone to talk to about your ideas before or during the composing process?

  • Do you have specific areas that you want to work on as a writer/composer?

  • Do you need an extra set of eyes?

  • Do you want to work towards developing......

If you answered "yes" to any of these questions then know that the WRC is there for you. Schedule an appointment today!

Of course the library is a great place to get citation resources though physical materials (books, magazines) and also through database searches.

The library is also a great place for you or your group to work, since you can reserve a study room. Many study rooms have:

The library also have subject librarians: "Subject librarians assist students at all levels with curriculum research assignments. Thay are available in-person, online, and by phone."

You might also find the Research Guides or Citation and Style Guides to be helpful.

Your Peers!

Don't forget that often times your greatest resource will be eachother. Your peers in the class have similar questions, they have worked though the same concerns, they have experienced successess and know areas that they would like to develop, and they are aware of the context form which you are writing. But sometimes they have what you need most: an ear.

Also, as you develop your multimedia Web Text, you might find that they can be of help.

  • Perhpas you want to include interviews or pictures

  • Perhpas you want to compose an element of your Web Text and you are unfamiliar with how to do X. We have many skillsets in the class.
